Manages and directs a staff of Inspectors with responsibilities for assigning and prioritizing work assignments, disciplining, solving difficult work problems, performance reviews, training, monitoring minimum education requirements for maintaining licensure and reviews and revises the Professional Standards of Conduct manual as it applies to the electrical inspection staff. Testifies before legislative committees as a subject matter expert as needed, representing the Board and OPLC. Teaches seminars and prepares educational materials for inspectors of other state agencies where some part of their responsibility includes electrical requirements, as well as for distribution.

Provides technical assistance of the National Electrical Code and RSA 319-C to the Electricians’ Licensing Board, staff Electrical Inspectors, other state agencies and local officials. Thorough knowledge of the principles of supervision and systems management. Thorough knowledge of the principles and methods of public administration, including personnel management. Must have the ability to be in the office during regular business hours and available as needed throughout the State to assist staff, other agencies and local officials as necessary. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be available for emergency work at times other than normal business hours.

License/Certifications: Must hold a valid Master Electrician’s license issued by the State of New Hampshire and valid driver’s license and/or access to transportation for use in statewide travel. If related to the program area, the supervisory or management experience will count as part of the six years' total experience. Each year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.Įxperience: Six years of experience as a licensed electrician plus, three years in a supervisory or management level position in any occupational area. Considerable public contact in the interpretation and enforcement of regulations governing their respective activities.Įducation: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with major study in a field relevant to the electrical industry.
